What A Relief!!

Y'know, I hadn't realised just how big a part of my psyche Thrixx and 3DSV2 were until they spectacularly disappeared literally with no warning and the platform, which ran from our computers but needed a live internet connection to work (I know, a complete nonsense, right?) simply stopped working.

The worst of it wasn't even that I couldn't continue the storyarcs I'd been working on for ten years- The Crisis Saga (including the Lady Detectives Agency), The Hellfire Saga sequels (with Hera & Carmen, Jackie Gold, Gabby, Martha, Rona & Tania), The Bloodtide sequels (especially Rita's Story), Reality Trap 2 and, of course, the end of The Blackmail Game trilogy!). No, the worst of it was that I could no longer make new Sara Kalu images, no new Hera or Jackie images, no more Dianka having her kinks played against her, no more Rona of any Earth, or naughty PA Lizzie (created for the Deviant Art platform but added to stories here going forward) or any new creations!

It was heart-breaking. True, Sara lives in my head (see the Creator Obsessive Disorder musing) but to not create more images of her beauty was especially painful.

So I emailed them several times to remind them of their commitment, taking what comfort I could from the fact that no emails returned with 'no such address' or 'mailbox full' notes; and daily I kept going back to the one page, out of date, incorrect even when published web-page in the hope that Thrixxx would honour their long standing promise to release the standalone version of the game to their long suffering users....

And then, after weeks of disappointment, suddenly BANG!!! The new-old owners of Thrixx did something amazing. They changed the webpage, gave an update on their new direction and platform (which looks like it could be great by the way), and, more importantly they GAVE US THE STANDALONE 3DSV2!!! And with it, more models and textures than I had previously purchased.

Now, true, it doesn't have some of the features the last version before shut down had, but it is good enough to allow me to finish my story-arcs, indulge in naughty fantasies stories for DV members (and going forward old Thrixx members), and generally move things forward.

Of much more import however, is that I can create new art showing my favourite characters as they develop, I can use characters I created but never got round to using (Julia, Jenna, Taboo, Reaper and so many more), and I can allow Sara to thrive in new pinups, and all that, in the end, is why 3dSV2 is so vital to my psyche.

A hole in my mind is plugged.
